Seven Man-made Wonders Officially Named

The world governing body took time out if it’s busy schedule of sitting on it’s hands and sifting through red tape recently, to name seven new Man-made Natural Wonders that will be preserved as World Heritage sites. Pictured above is the San Marino Historic Center and Mount Titano. The Guida Fortress sits on a precipice in the small republic of San Marino, which is considered the oldest republic
in the world.

Tulou in Fujian, China are built in remote Fujian Province, were designed to house entire family clans and have stood since the 11th century

The Rhaetian Railway in the Swiss Central Alps was built in 1904, and passes through 55 tunnels and crosses 196 viaducts on it’s journey through the mountains.

St. Thaddeus Church one of three churches named in northwestern Iran that were recognized for their importance in disseminating Armenian culture in to ancient Azerbaijan and Persia

The Mausoleum of Bab was one of 26 holy places named in Israel, and was cited as an example of the importance of the pilgrimage of the Baha’i faith.
