Cristián de la Fuente finally had arm surgery after placing third on Tuesday’s Dancing With the Stars season finale and is recovering at his Los Angeles home.

You may recall that Cristián de la Fuente suffered a torn tendon during a performance on Dancing with the Stars but continued with the competition despite knowing that he would need surgery. Cristián de la Fuente made an impressive showing on Dancing with the Stars, performing many of his dance moves with just his right arm.

According to Cristián de la Fuente’s doctor, “I was able to get a perfect repair of the bicep. Cristián will spend about a week in a splint, then start rehab.” Cristián de la Fuente’s recovery is expected to take three months.
