    Then do justice by naming Number 10. on the list as China: Central Plaza (Hong Kong), Built: 1992, Feet High: 1227

    It would of helped if the cities were included for the China buildings. Come to think of it, I wouldn’t trust this list if the the author didn’t even put in the effort to include the cities of the China buildings.

    Hello? The CN Tower?

    Your list should start with the tallest building in the world (as accepted by the Guiness Book of World Records, American Society of Civil Engineers, etc., etc.).

    The CN Tower is 1,815 feet tall, nearly 150 feet higher than Taipei 101.

    There are higher guyed towers (i.e. radio towers held up straight by wires), but no other building or free-standing structure comes close to the CN Tower.

    Aieeeeee…the whiners…they make my eyes bleed!

    Nice pictures. The world needs more pictures of cool skyscrapers to offset the number of cat photos on the Internet.

    @reeses: so true…

    Incredible! The thing that stands out in my mind is that all of these buildings were built in the late 20th or early 21st century. Only one is not considered “modern”. That would be the Empire State Building in New York City. It was built in 1931! Imagine what a wonder it was then, and probably thee tallest building in the world at that time!

    Children need our help. Youth violence is a plague in its beginning stages. Our local government, state governments, and national government must develop comprehensive programs to stop youth violence. We can stop our children from becoming a part of gang activity, we can stop the killings that occurred at Virginia Tech, and we can stop the Columbine shootings from happening again. There are programs and grants available to teach our youth right from wrong, to make them feel valued, to make them feel a part of our community. Join us in a comprehensive discussion on Curbing Youth Violence; Stopping Violence before it happens.
