Most Poisonous Frogs in the World
As a big fan of beautiful photography, I find it really weird that some of these cool looking frogs are of the most poisonous animals in the world. Take the one in the image above for example - the golden poison dart frog, it is the most poisonous animal in the world, enough poision in this thing to kill 10 people!

The Army’s New Toy

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

Atlas Devices have created a rope-climbing mechanism that can carry up to 250 pounds but also lift said weight at a rate of 10 feet per second. It runs on battery power and is under contract to be made for the Army and also rescue workers.

It looks extremely useful for these occupations and probably a lot of fun for those using them. It’ll make anyone use it feel like Batman for a brief moment until reality starts to settle back in.

Diesel Takes on Global Warming

In their latest ad campaign, Diesel shows that people can look cool and embrace the effects of global warming, or as they choose to put it “Global Warming can’t stop our lives“. The most impressive thing about their ads however is the beautiful imagery.

Seeing well-known locales and structures in what they could look like if all the global warming predictions come about is quite amazing. Terry Richardson is the designer behind these works.

The Simpson’s Movie Release Date: July 27th

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007

Its been known for a long time (18 years in fact) that the Simpsons’ Movie was in the making. Yesterday, the third trailer was released and gives a further glimpse of what is to come.

As long as the movie lives up to the comedy-gold the show has produced over the many years it has been shown, I will be happy. Possibly the best bit of the whole trailer is the confirmation of a release date, set for the 27th of July this year.

Venture has announced the production of the hybrid Venture One. A car with three-wheels that “tilts” around corners. It goes 0-60 in just 6 seconds, its max speed is over 100mph and gets 100 miles per gallon. All this for under US$20,000. As a bonus, the car is made to look totally awesome.

It is a true step forward for the automotive industry.

The Mystery Weapon of Iraq

Two years ago in Iraq, web journalist Michael Yon went to Iraq and took some photos. One of his holiday snaps happened to be of the above “mystery weapon”. Since posting it on his blog there have been thousands of supposed answers to the question “What in the world is this?”.

From grenade launcher to potato gun the ideas have been coming in their thousands. Now it’s up to you to make your decision about what it is.

The NBA All Star Game in High Definition 3D

The first ever live high-definition 3D Sports television broadcast is about to happen, though not for home viewing. The NBA has decided to broadcast the All Star game this weekend to selected 3D-projection-capable theaters around America.

Although this is a trial event, if it all goes well, the NBA Finals may also be broadcast in 3D to a wider audience.

the technology could be used to take the live sports arena experience to local theaters, and any future developments would include TV broadcasters that have rights to the live games.
