A new pop singer has emerged, although she is a tad younger than Lindsay or Hilary. Lexy Schiess is 14 years old and has already worked with various music producers and agents (some of which have worked Jessica Simpson and The Backstreet Boys), but will this translate into success?

We will find out next month, When Lexy releases her album in Canada under the Warner Music label. Her CD is not being released in the US as of yet, which begs the question, ‘Does no one want to release her CD?’. Apparently not; A “bidding war” had erupted in the US, where her record label deal is yet to be determined.

Ernie is a typical college student except for one thing. His room mates have a web site devoted entirely to pulling pranks on him.

This is a good thing though for everyone else on the Internet. The videos are viewable on their web site and are hilarious. Also there is a terrific voting system, allowing the visitors to the site to pick what the next prank will be.

LG has announced a partnership with PRADA to promote the LG KE850 phone with the PRADA brand. When it launches in Europe and Asia, it will be priced at just under $800. When the LG KE850 was announced last week (the PRADA brand being attached to it was announced later in the week), many claimed that Apple had copied the LG’s design with its iPhone.

Nevertheless, these phones (that both have smart-phone and camera capabilities) will serve as a luxury to some. It’s an item that I’m sure the devil cannot wait to get her hands on!

The American Army have displayed the future of weaponry for Iraq. The Ray Gun. Thats right folks, a real ray gun. If only it made little beams of light and cool noises.

The beam heats the target to around 130 degrees Fahrenheit (54 degrees Celcius). It can fire over 500 yards (455 meters). The weapon is non-lethal.

The system uses millimeter waves, which can penetrate only 1/64th of an inch of skin, just enough to cause discomfort. By comparison, common kitchen microwaves penetrate several inches of skin.

The 2006 27th Annual Razzie nominations have been released. The films Basic Instinct 2 and Little Man lead the way with 7 nominations each.

For those feeling a little confused right now, the Razzies are an annual “anti-Oscar” award ceremony where awards like Worst Actor/Actress to Worst Excuse for Family Entertainment and Worst Remake are given out. Generally, the Razzies are the opposite of the Oscars, giving out their awards for being the worst in a given category.

William Gaines‘ humor magazine MAD took only one year to hit almost every newspaper stand in the US.

The Absolutely MAD Magazine collection has over 50 years of MAD Magazines in one DVD-ROM. They come in PDF form, so all the issues are printable. There are also some special features, like commercials and animation videos. On Amazon you can buy all the MAD magazines that were produced up until 2006 for only $50.
