Kids Watch Santa Clause Die

Monday, December 25th, 2006

Children watched in horror as a Santa Claus collapsed and died as he handed out presents at a Christmas party. Andrew Robertson, 82, took ill as excited youngsters were being given their gifts.

He was taken to a side room, still dressed in a Father Christmas outfit, and attempts were made to revive him. But when medics arrived, he was pronounced dead.

Now this is just sad.

Treskilling Yellow - Most Expensive Stamp in The World

Saturday, December 23rd, 2006

Treskilling Yellow - Most Expensive Stamp in The WorldUsually when you hear about an item purchased for $2.3 Million, you expect it to be something like a grandiose house, or maybe a heavily modified car, you surely don’t think of a stamp that was printed in Sweden, in the year 1855.

But that’s not the only surprising thing about the most expensive stamp in the world named Treskilling Yellow - The stamp samples are actually a result of an unnoticed mistake in stamp-printers and were later discounted in 1858.

The question of how many stamps of this kind have been printed remains unanswered, but only 1 copy is known to exist, which was sold for $2.3 Million in 1996, a whopping $71 Billion per kilogram.

Merry Christmas for Me & You

Merry Christmas for Me & You
We’re not some kind of a cheesy site that will go wishing you a merry Christmas without actually making it a merry one. So here’s another thing why my and your Christmas should be merrier:

Paris Hilton’s brief dalliance with the music industry is over, according to British media reports. The celebrity socialite released her debut single Stars Are Blind earlier this year (06) to a warm reception, but her subsequent album bombed in the charts. A source tells the Daily Star, “You don’t need to worry about listening to any more music from Paris - there won’t be any. “Her career as a singer is going to be allowed to quietly go away.”

Baby Accidentally (?) Sent Through X-Ray Check

Saturday, December 23rd, 2006

A woman going through security at Los Angeles International Airport put her month-old grandson into a plastic bin intended for carry-on items and slid it into an X-ray machine.

The early Saturday accident — bizarre but not unprecedented — caught airport workers by surprise, even though the security line was not busy at the time, officials said.
